Seizing the Opportunity to Love the Lord
Verses from the Gospel According to Mark
14:3 And while He was in Bethany in the house of Simon the leper, as He reclined at table, a woman came, having an alabaster flask of ointment, of very costly pure nard, and she broke the alabaster flask and poured it over His head.
14:4 But there were some who were indignantly commenting among themselves: Why has this waste of the ointment been made?
14:5 For this ointment could have been sold for over three hundred denarii and given to the poor. And they were infuriated with her.
14:6 But Jesus said, Leave her alone. Why do you trouble her? She has done a noble deed on Me.
14:7 For you always have the poor with you, and whenever you want, you can do good for them. But you do not always have Me.
14:8 She has done what she could; she has anointed My body beforehand for the burial.
14:9 And truly I say to you, Wherever the gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done shall also be told as a memorial of her.

『屬靈』的事情未必就是基督

職事的話
從前有一個弟兄得罪了另一個弟兄,被得罪的弟兄受不住,就罵了那個弟兄一頓。罵了之後,良心覺得不平安,覺得該去向那個弟兄認罪。但是,一想起那個弟兄得罪他的事,就越想越氣,同時又覺得非向他認罪不可,所以就準備寫一封信給那個弟兄。他拿起筆來寫了一句話,『我剛纔罵你是不對的。』但是,又想到那個弟兄那樣得罪他也是不對的,所以又氣起來。等一等又拿起筆來寫,但是寫的時候又恨他,寫的時候心裡還是在生氣。寫好以後去郵寄的時候,還是覺得氣。
在表面看來,這一封信很像基督徒寫的信,但是,我們知道,這不過是道理的結果,這不是生命的結果。他雖然寫信去認罪,但他心裡還是生氣的。弟兄姊妹,你看見這裡面的分別麼?主是真理。如果是道理而不是主,那就是死的。我們要知道,所有屬靈的事,有主就是活的,沒有主就是死的。主在我們裡面發光了,主在我們裡面作那一件事,我們裡面看見了那一個,那纔是活的【、釋放的】。

基督就是道路

約翰十四6:耶穌說,我就是道路…若不藉著我,沒有人能到父那裡去。
三16:神愛世人,甚至將祂的獨生子賜給他們,叫一切信入祂的,不至滅亡,反得永遠的生命。
職事的話
我們必須記得,我們相信主自己,與相信一個公式,是完全兩件事。有的基督徒,蒙神的恩典開了他的眼睛,叫他看見他自己是怎樣的一個人,他就放下自己,他就相信主,他相信主在他裡面作他自己所不能作的事;結果,他在神面前得著了飽足,得著了釋放。等一等,另外有一個人來了,他聽見那一個人所作的見證,他就也在神面前求神光照,叫他知道自己是一個沒有用處的人,他也學習相信神,他也學習謙卑,他也學習放下自己。但是事情很希奇,那一個人得著拯救,可是這一個人得不著。
這是因為第一個弟兄是有信心,他是信神,他摸著主。第二個弟兄呢?他不是有信心,他是抄襲一個信心的公式,他所得著的不是神,乃是信心的公式。換句話說,第二個弟兄是得著一個方法,不是得著主。那一個方法沒有能力,那一個方法不生效,那一個方法是死的,因為那一個方法是一件東西,不是基督自己。
我們要記得,在屬靈的事情上,在基督之外的一切東西都是死的。…你就是把整套的方法都學會了,也學不出一個基督徒來,因為神的兒女都是生出來的,沒有一個是教出來的。【惟有基督自己能使你成為基督徒。】

柱子
列王纪上
7:13 所羅門王差遣人往推羅去,將戶蘭召了來。
7:14 他是拿弗他利支派中一個寡婦的兒子,他父親是推羅人,作銅匠的。戶蘭滿有智慧、悟性、技能,善於作各樣銅工。他來到所羅門王那裏,作王一切的工作。
7:15 他製造兩根銅柱,每根柱子高十八肘,柱子圍十二肘;
7:16 又用銅鑄了兩個柱頂安在柱子上,一個柱頂高五肘,另一個柱頂也高五肘。
7:17 柱子上端的柱頂有裝修的格子網和擰成的鍊索形成的花圈,一個柱頂有七個,另一個柱頂也有七個。
7:18 他作了柱子;一個網子周圍有兩行石榴,遮蓋柱子上端的柱頂;另一個柱頂也是這樣作。
7:19 廊子裏柱子上端的柱頂徑四肘,刻著百合花。
7:20 兩根柱子上的柱頂,在網子旁邊的鼓肚上,按著鼓肚,每一柱頂有二百個石榴,分行環繞。
7:21 他將兩根柱子立在殿廊前頭:右邊立一根,起名叫雅斤;左邊立一根,起名叫波阿斯。

To forgive is to forget
The root of our unwillingness to forgive others lies in our dispositional anger. No matter how nice you may be, you still have dispositional anger. The reason you are offended is that you have such a disposition. Sometimes when I have offended a brother, he has said that he does not care about the offense. Actually, we all care when we are offended. The outward reaction or appearance may be different, but the dispositional anger, the anger hidden in our disposition, is the same. Because of our dispositional anger, it is difficult to forgive others.
According to the Bible, to forgive is to forget. For us, to forgive a person may mean that we simply do not care about the particular offense. However, we still remember it. How difficult it is to forget an offense against us! Without the
Lord’s mercy and grace, we would remember others’ offenses even in eternity. But when God forgives, He forgets. Hebrews 10:17 says, “And their sins and their lawlessnesses I will by no means remember any more.” To forgive something absolutely is to forget it. Our Father in heaven considers us as if we have never sinned, for He has forgiven and forgotten our sins. But when we forgive an offense, we often remind others of it. For example, a sister may say, “The elders treated me very poorly; however, I have forgiven them. But let me tell you a little about what happened.” Genuine forgiveness means that we forget the offense.

Don't be Trapped by Time
Bible Verses
1 John 1:7 ...and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from every sin.
John 8:24 ...for unless you believe that I am, you will die in your sins .
Words of Ministry
Someone may ask, “How could the blood of the Lord Jesus cleanse us from all our sin?” We tell him that the Lord Jesus was crucified on the cross, paying the price for our sins. Our sins have been cleansed by the blood He shed. But others may not understand and ask, “How is this possible? How could He die for someone who was not born yet and had not committed any sins?” When you encounter this kind of problem, you should realize that this problem occurs because people have brought in the concept of time. However, the Lord's cross transcends time. When people bring in the concept of time, there is no way to understand the cross.
We need to remember that Christ is the One who now is. In God there is no distinction between past and future. In God it is always today. God is the One who is from eternity to eternity. God is the God who now is. [God said to Moses, “I AM THAT I AM,” which meant “I am the One who now is.” The time of the I AM is present]. If we bring time into our concept, we cannot communicate with God. When we look in the Greek New Testament, we will find out that 1John 1:7 is in the present tense. It does not say that the blood of His Son Jesus cleansed all our sin in the past. Neither does it say that the blood of His Son Jesus will cleanse all our sin in the future. All of our sins are cleansed now, not in the past or in the future.

Salvation in Every Situation
Bible Verses
Phil. 1:19 For I know that for me this will turn out to salvation through your petition and the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ, (20) According to my earnest expectation and hope that in nothing I will be put to shame, but with all boldness, as always, even now Christ will be magnified in my body, whether through life or through death.
Words of Ministry
In 1:19 Paul says that his situation, environment, and surroundings will turn out to him for salvation. According to Paul's word in 1:19, the difficult situations we face can turn out to our salvation. Whether or not our circumstances turn out for us to salvation depends on whether or not we enjoy the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. If we do not enjoy this bountiful supply, our circumstances will turn out to be for shame. Every situation we face will turn out either for salvation or shame. Suppose, for example, a brother's wife gives him a difficult time. For the brother this situation can be either a salvation or a shame. It all depends on whether or not he enjoys the bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ. If he enjoys the supply of the Spirit, he will experience an instant salvation, and Christ will be magnified in him. If he does not enjoy the supply, but becomes angry with his wife, he will be put to shame. I repeat, if the brother's situation with his wife turns out to be for his salvation, Christ will be magnified. In a very real sense, the salvation in 1:19 is Christ magnified.
For the problems we face day by day, especially in our family life and in the church life, we need God's salvation. We need different kinds of salvation for different kinds of problems. A brother needs one kind of salvation in his dealings with all the different saints. But he needs another kind of salvation in his relationship with his wife. According to God's ordination, it is not good for a man to be alone. Every brother should have a wife. However, in married life problems are unavoidable. For all these problems we need God's salvation. God ordained marriage so that we might have the opportunity to enjoy Him. If we enjoy the Lord, we shall experience His salvation in our married life. God's salvation as revealed in the Bible is of many categories. Day by day and even moment by moment we may experience different aspects of God's salvation. Yearly, monthly, weekly, daily, and even moment by moment we need to experience salvation. I simply cannot live without God's salvation.

The Way, Truth, and Life
Bible Verses
John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life; no one comes to the Father except through Me.
1 John 5:12 He who has the Son has the life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
Words of Ministry
Christ is our way, Christ is our truth, and Christ is our life. Through Christ we go to the Father. In God's eyes, everything that has to do with God is Christ, who is His Son. What God has given us is just Christ; He has not given us many things apart from Christ. Many times, in spiritual matters, we see only things, and what we touch are merely things. These things are merely terms and letters to us; they do not have any spiritual value. May the Lord open our eyes so that we may know the Son of God.
The characteristic of Christianity, the root of Christianity, and all its depth and riches are contained in the knowledge of the Son of God. It is not a matter of how many methods we know or how many doctrines we have or how much power we possess. It is a matter of how much we know God's Son. If we know God's Son, we have the way, we have the truth, and we have the life. Our power comes from our knowledge of the Son of God. God has given us His Son, not many individual items apart from His Son. The crux of the matter lies in our knowledge of the Son of God.
This way is just Christ Himself; it is not a method apart from Christ. We need to see that not only do we have to come to God through the Lord Jesus when we are saved, but that the Lord Jesus is still the way any time we go to God.

Words of Ministry
Christ is our way, Christ is our truth, and Christ is our life. Through Christ we go to the Father. In God's eyes, everything that has to do with God is Christ, who is His Son. What God has given us is just Christ; He has not given us many things apart from Christ. Many times, in spiritual matters, we see only things, and what we touch are merely things. These things are merely terms and letters to us; they do not have any spiritual value. May the Lord open our eyes so that we may know the Son of God.
The characteristic of Christianity, the root of Christianity, and all its depth and riches are contained in the knowledge of the Son of God. It is not a matter of how many methods we know or how many doctrines we have or how much power we possess. It is a matter of how much we know God's Son. If we know God's Son, we have the way, we have the truth, and we have the life. Our power comes from our knowledge of the Son of God. God has given us His Son, not many individual items apart from His Son. The crux of the matter lies in our knowledge of the Son of God.
This way is just Christ Himself; it is not a method apart from Christ. We need to see that not only do we have to come to God through the Lord Jesus when we are saved, but that the Lord Jesus is still the way any time we go to God.

Salt and Grace
Bible Verses
Mark 9: 50 Salt is good, but if the salt becomes unsalty, with what will you restore its saltiness? Have salt in yourselves and be at peace with one another.
Col 4:6 Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
Eph 4:29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but only that which is good for building up, according to the need, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Words of Ministry
We need a vision in which we see not only Christ but also His all-inclusive death and His resurrection. We need to be replaced by Christ through His death and resurrection. This means that we need to apply His death to ourselves and then
receive His rich supply in His wonderful resurrection. If we are replaced by Christ in this way, we shall be healed of the "germs" within us. We shall be salted even in this age. To be salted in this age is to be salted by grace through the death and resurrection of Christ.
In Colossians 4:6 Paul puts grace and salt together. In Ephesians 4:29 Paul refers to words that give grace to those who hear. Grace is Christ as our enjoyment and supply. Our speech should convey this grace to others. The word that builds up others always ministers such grace to the hearers. For our speech to be with grace means that Christ is expressed through our words. This means that our words should be the expression and utterance of Christ. Every word should be the expression of Christ as grace.
According to Colossians 4:6, our speech should also be seasoned with salt. Salt makes things agreeable and pleasant to the taste. Speech seasoned with salt will keep us at peace with one another. This is the reason the Lord tells us in Mark
9:50 to have salt in ourselves and then to be at peace with one another. If our words are with grace and are salted, they will cause all things to be agreeable.

Light Arising from Consecration to God
Bible Verses
John 7:17-18 If anyone resolves to do His will, he will know concerning the teaching, whether it is of God or whether I speak from Myself. He who speaks from himself seeks his own glory; but He who seeks the glory of Him who sent Him,
this One is true, and unrighteousness is not in Him.
Words of Ministry
Some may ask: “Why is it that others can have the light, but I do not have the light?” According to the story of Samson, whenever his hair was shaved, his power was gone, and he lost his eyes (Judg. 16:20-21). We do not have the light and we
are blind because we do not have a thorough consecration. The Lord said, “For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. The lamp of the body is the eye. But if your eye is evil, your whole body will be dark. If then the light that is
in you is darkness, how great is the darkness!” (Matt. 6:21-23). The degree to which our heart is turned to the Lord determines the degree to which our spiritual eyes are opened within. God's children do not have light because they do not have a heart for God. They do not have power because their consecration is too little. When our heart is not turned to God sufficiently, when our consecration is inadequate, and
when we do not answer God's demand completely, God cannot get through in us. If our consecration is thorough, it will bring in spiritual riches and heavenly blessings. I believe that when all the brothers and sisters are for the Lord and are
thoroughly consecrated, the gospel will be preached everywhere and heavenly blessings will pour down everywhere.
Brothers and sisters, there is no other way to genuine power, light, and heavenly riches except through answering God's demand. The amount of consecration we have to God determines the amount of power we have from God. May we not hinder Him.
In order for God to have a way, our heart must be turned toward Him; we must answer His demand and allow Him to flow through us. Otherwise, we will only hinder our God. God desires that we turn our heart to Him and answer His demand. In His work God needs man. If we do not answer His demand, He will have to find someone else to answer Him and carry out His will. May God strengthen our aspiration toward Him, and
may His will be carried out through us.

Thy mighty love, O God, constraineth me
I have been enjoying this hymn very much recently. It speaks into the bottom of my heart, sweeps, washes and floods me with Thy mighty love!

追求基督是我們的標竿

腓立比三13:弟兄們,我不是以為自己已經取得了,我只有一件事,就是忘記背後,努力面前的,14:向著標竿竭力追求,要得神在基督耶穌裡,召我向上去得的獎賞。
職事的話
無論我們怎樣解釋【十四節】保羅論到標竿和獎賞的話,我們都不能否認,二者都是事實,包含一些重點。我們要得著獎賞,就必須達到標竿;我們要達到標竿,就必須奔跑賽程。不要受打岔,想努力明白你達到標竿時會得著怎樣的獎賞。要緊的是你要領悟,照著神聖的啟示,神設立了基督作你的標竿和獎賞。不但如此,祂呼召了你向著標竿努力往前。我勸你留意神設立了標竿,豫備了獎賞的事實。我也勸你留意,需要好好奔跑賽程,忘記背後,努力面前的,竭力追求基督。我相信『面前的』就是關於基督和祂的身體,召會的事。讓我們都忘記背後,留意我們前面光明的前途,就是贏得基督,並在祂的身體裏經歷祂到極點。
【十四節】竭力追求,原文也可譯為逼迫。保羅在得救前,是逼迫基督;得救後,他竭力追求基督到一個地步,我們甚至可說他也是逼迫基督,不過是在正面上。逼迫人就是攪擾他,不肯放他過去。在保羅得救前,他攪擾基督,不放祂過去,反面的逼迫基督;但他得救並被基督贏得以後,仍然逼迫祂,不過是正面的,因他不肯放基督過去。我們也該這樣逼迫基督。這就是竭力追求基督以贏得祂。不要放基督過去。要攪擾祂,逼迫祂,以贏得祂。我們全人同一切的力量都該消耗於竭力追求基督。我盼望我們中間許多人會有深刻的印象,需要竭力追求基督,並且被挑旺起來,甚至以逼迫的方式尋求祂。不要讓基督離開你,卻要尋求祂,竭力追求祂,以這種正面的方式逼迫祂。這樣,你就會贏得祂。

Being Anxious in Nothing
Bible Verses
Phil. 4:6 In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
1 Pet. 5:7 Casting all your anxiety on Him because it matters to Him concerning you.
Words of Ministry
In verse 6 Paul goes on to say, "In nothing be anxious." Often when we hear bad news, we worry and fall into anxiety. Anxiety undermines the living of Christ. Instead of being anxious, in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving we should make our requests known to God. Then the peace of God will guard our hearts and thoughts in Christ Jesus (v. 7). The peace of God saves us from worry and anxiety. Being free from anxiety is for the purpose of keeping us calm and tranquil.
The words "in everything" [v. 6] refer to the many different things which happen to us day by day. Under the Lord's blessing, many positive things happen, and we hear good news. However, we also experience negative things and hear bad news. Nevertheless, in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, we should make our requests known to God. Prayer is general with the essence of worship and fellowship; petition is special for particular needs. Notice that Paul says "with thanksgiving," not "and thanksgiving." This indicates that both our prayer and petition should be accompanied by thanksgiving to the Lord.
The phrase "to God" may also be rendered "before God" or "in the presence of God." The Greek preposition is pros, often translated "with.” It denotes motion towards, in the sense of a living union and communion, implying fellowship. We should let our requests be made known to God in such a fellowship, in such a union and communion. This requires that we pray to contact God. In our prayer to God there must be the essence of worship and fellowship, and also petitions for particular needs. Even if we do not have specific needs, we still need a time of prayer day by day to worship the Lord and have fellowship with Him. As we worship the Lord and have fellowship with Him in prayer, we enjoy communion with Him and practice the organic [life] union with Him.

得勝是一個恩賜,不是一個賞賜

一件事請你記得,得勝是一個恩賜,不是一個賞賜。甚麼是恩賜呢?恩賜是一個禮物,是人白白送給你的。你自己作工得來的是賞賜。你白白得來,一點沒有花力氣的是恩賜。我們的得勝,是白白得來的,不是自己用力賺來的。
你在那裡是想,我怎樣能勝過試探呢?你在那裡是想,我怎樣能勝過我的脾氣呢?你在那裡是想,我怎樣能勝過我的驕傲呢?你在那裡是想,我怎樣能勝過我的嫉妒呢?你不知要花多少力氣,也不知多少次都是失望。
今天,我有一個福音傳給你們!神把主耶穌的聖潔,主耶穌的忍耐,主耶穌的完全,主耶穌的仁愛,主耶穌的信實,白白送給你。要的人,神就白白送給他。像祂那一種和神親密的交通,像祂那一種聖潔的生活,像祂那一種完全的美麗,神送給你。叫基督一切的美德,成為我的美德。這是神所豫備的救恩!這是神願意白白賜給我們的!

Constitued by and with the Lord as the Life-giving and Transforming Spirit
2 Cor 3:16 But whenever their heart turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.
2 Cor 3:17 And the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.
2Cor 3:18 But we all with unveiled face, beholding and reflecting like a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, even as the Lord Spirit.
What is the veril in v16? Actually our turned-away heart is the veil. To turn our heart to the Lord is to take away the veil. Lord, I turn my heart to You!
To behold the glory of the Lord is to see the Lord ourselves, and to reflect the glory of the Lord is to enable others to see Him through us. Our face should be fully unveiled that we may see well and reflect properly.
We are being transformed metabolically to have His life shape by His life power with His life essence; this is, we are being transfigured, mainly by the renewing of our mind into His image.
The new covenant ministers are the persons (1) whose hearts have turned to the Lord, (2) whose faces are unveiled, (3) who are enjoying the Lord as the Spirit, freeing them from the bondage of the law, and (4) who are being transformed into the image of the Lord by beholding and reflecting Him. Through such a process of transformation they are constituted ministers of Christ by the Spirit with the elements of Christ's person and work. Hence, their person is constituted of and with Christ, and their ministry is to minister Christ to others, infusing them with the all-inclusive Christ as the indwelling, life-giving Spirit. All believers should imitate such ministers to be the same kind of person and to accomplish the same kind of ministry.

Through such a process of transformation they are constituted ministers of Christ by the Spirit with the elements of Christ's person and work. Hence, their person is constituted of and with Christ, and their ministry is to minister Christ to others, infusing them with the all-inclusive Christ as the indwelling, life-giving Spirit. All believers should imitate such ministers to be the same kind of person and to accomplish the same kind of ministry.

Lord, grant me today's supply of grace

What kind of mind do I have?
Phil. 3:14 I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward.
Phil. 3:15 Let us therefore, as many as are full-grown, have this mind; and if in anything you are otherwise minded, this also God will reveal to you.
Lord, renew my mind to pursue Christ for the Body.

According to verse 15, "as many as are full grown" should have "this mind." Paul's word in verse 15 implies that if we do not have this mind, we may be childish. Not having this mind is a sign that we are not full grown. As we consider the situation among Christians today, we see a great deal of childishness. Not many believers have this mind, the mind to seek after the fullest enjoyment and gain of Christ. Imagine how marvelous the situation would be if all seeking Christians had a mind focused on pursuing Christ for the full enjoyment and gaining of Him. If the seeking Christians were like this, the situation on earth would be excellent and wonderful. However, the situation among Christians today is confused and complicated. This is due to the fact that seeking Christians do not have this mind. Instead of seeking God's unique goal, they pursue other goals. These different goals cause trouble. We should have one goal, and this goal should be to pursue Christ that we may have the fullest enjoyment of Him and may gain Him in full.
Lord, renew my mind to pursue Christ for the Body.

Transcending Everything through Praise
Isa 38:18-19 For Sheol cannot thank You, and Death cannot praise You; They that go down to the pit cannot hope in Your truth.
The living, the living, he will praise You, as I do today...
Your whole being may struggle, complain, and cry for justice. You may find it difficult to forgive or pardon others. It is hard for you to overcome your feeling. You are wronged, slandered, persecuted, and you cannot get over it. Prayer does not help much. You want to fight and struggle against it, but you cannot. The more you try to shake off this burden, the worse you become. You find it hard to overcome. Please remember that when you suffer great personal hardship and severe injustice, it is not the time for you to pray, but the time for you to praise. You should bow your head and say to the Lord, “I thank You. You are never wrong in what You do. I accept all these things from Your hands. I thank You . I praise You.” If you do this, all your problems will go away.
Victory has nothing to do with struggling with the flesh. It has nothing to do with trying to forgive others or striving to pardon others with one's own strength. Victory comes when one bows his head and praises the Lord: “I praise You for Your way. Your arrangement is always good. Whatever You do is right.” When you praise the Lord this way, your spirit will soar above your problems; it will soar above your inner wounds. Your spirit will transcend to the heights... The Christian life soars through praises. To praise is to transcend everything to touch the Lord. This was the pathway our Lord Jesus took when He was on earth.

Press On
This morning I read a message by a brother serving at BfA and enjoyed it very much. I was particularly touched by the following portion:
O Lord, make me an open vessel fully for You!
Nothing is permanent in the Lord’s move. We must always remain open to Him and to His leading. We should never hold on to anything regardless of how much we enjoy it or how effective it is.

Thinking the Same Thing
Bible Verses
Phil. 2:2-5 Make my joy full, that you think the same thing, having the same love, joined in soul, thinking the one thing, Doing nothing by way of selfish ambition nor by way of vainglory, but in lowliness of mind considering one another more excellent than yourselves; Not regarding each his own virtues, but each the virtues of others also. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,
Words of Ministry
It is not possible for us to think the same thing unless Christ saturates our mind and occupies our thinking. Then we shall spontaneously think the same thing, even the one thing. Apart from being saturated with Christ in this way, no two people, not even a husband and wife, will be able to think the same thing. Nevertheless, it was Paul's appeal and expectation that the whole church in Philippi would think the same thing. But how can a large group of people think one thing? Once again we point out that this is possible only when the believers are occupied by Christ and allow Him to saturate their whole being. Then, and only then, shall we be able to think the same thing.
Christ is unique, central, and universal. When in an experiential way, not just in a doctrinal way, Christ becomes our centrality and universality, we shall automatically think the same thing. We can test whether or not we truly think the same thing by checking if we have the same love, are joined in soul, are free from rivalry and vainglory, count others more excellent than ourselves, and regard the virtues and qualities of others. These matters will always test to what extent we have actually been occupied by Christ, taken over by Christ, and saturated with Christ. If Christ truly possesses us inwardly, our love for all the saints will be on the same level. Furthermore, we shall be joined in soul, and our mind will be occupied with knowing Christ, experiencing Christ, pursuing Christ, and gaining Christ. As a result, we shall not do anything in the way of rivalry or vainglory, but instead we shall count others more excellent than ourselves and regard their virtues and qualities.
